Good doctors but hard to see them
July 13, 2023
I have a medical condition that impacts my daily life. While the doctors have been good it is very very difficult to get an appointment with a doctor. The booking system is extremely frustrating.
Repeated visits before being treated
June 29, 2023
I was very unwell and made a number of visits to the surgery. I was repeatedly told that it was just a viral infection. I ended up on strong antibiotics with borderline pneumonia and was referred for a chest x-ray. I think that if antibiotics had been given sooner I would have made a quicker recovery.
No consideration for people who work

I was referred here by my GP for blood tests. They would not accommodate me around my working hours and I was told that I could not go to the hospital for them. I was very disappointed with this service.
Great service very accommodating

I attend the surgery on a regular basis for injections in my shoulder and knee. The staff are great, they are always very helpful and manage to get me in when I need an appointment. I am very happy with the service and care received.
My symptoms were ignored & concerns dismissed
June 5, 2023
I attended the surgery on three separate occasions with the same symptoms and raised my concerns. I received no treatment and no referral was made. I ended up seriously ill in hospital and was diagnosed with colitis. I had to be admitted and treated which may have been avoided with better quality care from my GP.
Poor service due to lack of equipment
June 5, 2023
I need regular blood tests and the nurses always have difficulties taking it from me. It is much easier with the use of butterfly needles but these are not available at the surgery. My experiences are therefore never a nice experience with nurses struggling to conduct the blood test and wasting time trying. I have been told not to go to the hospital and that it needs to be done at the GP surgery.
Communication with GP via reception staff
June 5, 2023
I do not like that you are expected to discuss your symptoms and any problems with the receptionist. If you are vague with the receptionists, who are not medically trained doctors and/or nurses, you are met with hostility. Are GPs working from home and calling patients rather than being present in surgery's to see their patients? I am finding it increasingly frustrating trying to access healthcare directly from my GP.
Do over 70's have priority booking?
June 5, 2023
I was of the understanding that as a person aged over the age of 70 I should have easier access to GP services, and that there is a separate number to call. I have never had a good experience trying to book an appointment and still have to wait ages on hold when trying to book.
Diagnosis & treatment but no appointment
June 5, 2023
I recently took a water sample into the surgery. This was passed on to the doctor by the receptionist. I was then told a prescription would be sent to the pharmacy because I had a UTI. I did not get to see or speak to a GP. When you do see a GP you are not allowed to talk about more than one issue during that appointment unless you book a double appointment. A single appointment is difficult enough to book without asking for two. Booking appointments is difficult and its now normal to be waiting for over an hour on hold before being told that there are no appointments available.
Poor experience with nurses doing bloods
June 5, 2023
The nurses are useless and always struggle to do the blood tests. They rarely have the correct equipment to make the process easier. I have requested to go to the hospital but I have been told that I cant.
